CAMERON - Lynn Edwin Barry, 91, passed away at his home, October 23, 2024. He was born January 25, 1933 in Omaha, Nebraska to Benjie and Opal (Deal) Barry.
Lynn graduated from high school in Cameron in 1950 and served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict where he was a heavy equipment operator. After returning home he married Lois (Pat) Johnston on May 22, 1955. They resided in the area where Lynn farmed and drove a bus for the Cameron school district.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Benjie and Opal Barry; son, Arlynn Barry; In-laws, Ellis T. and Merle Johnston; and brother, Richard Barry.
Survivors: wife, Pat, of the home; daughter, Lynnda (Mark) Hawkins, Richmond, Missouri; 3 grandchildren, Falynn Barry, St. Joseph, Missouri, Kimberly Hawkins, Orrick, Missouri, and Clayton, Hawkins, Richmond, Missouri; 1 great-granddaughter, Evalynn; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service: 2:00 PM, Monday, October 28, 2024 at Poland-Thompson Chapel with visitation prior to the service, 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM.
Inurnment with Military Honors at Graceland Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Comfort Care Hospice.
