Three Cameron Throwers, Jumper Advance to State Track Meet

Cameron will send three athletes to the Class 3 state track and field meet this weekend after standout performances at the Section 4 meet.

Chase Bell claimed the Section 4 championship in boys javelin with a school-record throw of 54.60 meters, or 179 feet, 1 inch. Bell, Cameron’s current boys javelin record holder, had battled frustration during parts of the season but entered the postseason feeling prepared. His sectional throw not only won the title, but extended his own program-best mark.
