Over the years, I’ve noticed something interesting about the idea of neighboring — knowing and connecting with the people who live near us. Almost no one disagrees with it. If you ask whether it’s a good idea, people will nod quickly. Of course it is. We all sense that something important is missing in our neighborhoods.
But then something else happens.
