Kenneth O. Lee, 91, of Winston, Missouri, passed away September 10, 2026. He was born January 17, 1935 to Wesley G. and Gertie A. (Hiley) Lee in their home in Winston.
Kenneth was the tenth of eleven children and the seventh son of the seventh son. He attended Winston High School until Christmas of his senior year. He married Maxine Grace Lundy January 2, 1953 and started farming. They began their life together with a 1940 Pontiac, $50.00, 6 heifers, one milk cow and 30 chickens. He had a mind for numbers, cows, calves, crops, books and business. In 1958, they purchased their first farm. He loved to farm, raise cattle, tell stories, but most of all spend time with his family. One of Kenneth’s most memorable accomplishments was raising a set of triplet calves in 2009. He had a good life, worked hard, and did everything with a purpose. He lived and worked his entire life on the family farm that was purchased in April, 1865, making it a Century Farm for having been in the Lee Family for 161 years. Kenneth was an avid hunter, fisherman and steward of the land. He also enjoyed bowling and taught over a hundred people to water ski on Lake Viking. Together, He and Maxine raised 4 children.
Kenneth was a boy scout, 70-year Blue Lodge Mason in Western Star #15 AF&AM and 50-year member of Winston Chapter #182, Order of the Eastern Star. He served on the REA nominating committee for many years and on the Jefferson Township board.
