John F. Burdick

1958 - 2025

John Francis Burdick, 67, of Cameron, passed away October 17th, 2025. He was born June 11th, 1958 to John E. and Betty A. (Bratcher) Burdick in Cameron.

John was a 1976 graduate of Penny High School in Hamilton, MO. He worked with his father at Burdick Construction Inc. and would eventually go on to own and operate after the passing of his father, Big John. In recent years, John has been Director of Maintenance for The Village in Cameron. John was truly a jack of all trades dabbling in trucking, auto mechanics and just an all around handy man.

John was an amazing dad and papa whose love knew no limits. He would do anything for John and Rashelle, always standing proudly in their corner as their biggest supporter and greatest cheerleader. His stories could light up a room, his catchphrases still echo in the hearts of everyone who knew him, and his signature grin - paired with a warm “Hello, darlin’” - made even the toughest days brighter.

Young at heart doesn’t begin to capture his joyful spirit or his love for life. He was never one to miss a moment, especially when it came to spending time with his grand-babies and kids, who were his greatest joy. Whether he was sharing a laugh, telling a story, or just being there, he always showed up.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Betty; son, Jeremy; sister, Vicki Wiedmier; grandson, Henry Korneman.

John is survived by son, John H. Burdick, Ashland, MO; daughter, Rashelle Korneman, Cameron, MO; 3 grandchildren, Johnny Burdick, Eloise Burdick, Faye Korneman; niece, Andrea (Dan) Smith, nephew, J.P. Knudsen, niece, Scarlett Railsback, niece, Ashley Jeffers, nephew, Rhett Wiedmier.
