Helen L. Norton
1935-2025
Winston, Missouri- Helen Louise Norton, 90, passed away July 6, 2025. She was born in the Winston area March 20, 1935 to Virgil and Ethel (VanDyke) Caldwell.
Helen graduated from Winston High School. She worked for the postal service for over 30 years, serving as postmaster 15 years at New Cambria, Missouri and Atlanta, Missouri, finishing out the remaining years in her hometown of Winston.
Helen was a life-long member of the First Baptist Church of Winston.
She enjoyed playing games with friends and family, working on jigsaw puzzles, and reading.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jay and Della; and siblings, Mary, Billy, Gene, Evelyn, Larry, and Ted.
Survivors: Jerry (Candace) Eaton, Pattonsburg, Missouri, Marlene (Larry) Gordon, Weatherby, Missouri, Jack (Tracey) Eaton, Everton, Missouri, Lori Norton, Winston, Missouri, Jim (JoDee) Norton, Gallatin, Missouri, Noma Aiken, St. Joseph, Missouri; 11 grandchildren, Marsha, Marty, Shona, Jessie, Crystal, Misty, Carly, Maria, James III, Chloe, and Bella; 15 great-grandchildren: 4 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Jim Caldwell, Janice (Ben) Michael, Gary (Debbie) Caldwell, all of Winston, Missouri, Linda (Pat) Perry, Gallatin, Missouri, Marilyn Clark (Wade Moody), Winston, Missouri, Bob (Cindy) Caldwell, Weatherby, Missouri, and Sherri (Neal) Slaughter, Winston, Missouri.
Services: 10:00 am, Friday, July 11, 2025 at Poland-Thompson Chapel.
Visitation: 6-8 pm, Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Burial in Winston Cemetery.
