From the Pastor: Let Christ Be Exalted

I had a busy weekend. My son got married! It was a whirlwind of craziness, excitement, and joy. Friday night flowed into Saturday and Saturday into Sunday as if time went into warp speed. After church I ran some errands. After finally making it home, I unpacked the truck, returned the trailer, cleaned the kitchen, started a pot of chili, and prepared for the Chiefs game. Yet, when I turned on the TV, it wasn’t football that caught my attention, it was Charlie Kirk’s Remembrance Service. I opened a livestream of Kirk’s service and was shocked by the crowd–a stadium packed with people. A stadium! I was amazed by what I was seeing. The crowd was singing and praising Jesus.

This was supposed to be a funeral service, yet I was in awe of what I was seeing. So, I started the livestream from the beginning and was captivated by the event. Praise and worship filled the stadium, people were singing, raising hands, and crying out to God Almighty. This event was bringing people together, drawing people in, and pointing them to Jesus the King of kings and Lord of lords. I hope you watched it. It’s not enough to see clips. You have to see it all!
