Eugenia "Genie" Frances McGuire, 68, passed away on May 20, 2026 in Waxahatchie, TX.
Genie was born to Caldwell Warner Reeder Jr. and Joanne Reeder on March 19, 1958 in Kansas City, KS.
She married Robert McGuire on June 19, 1976 and they raised two sons, Robert and Patrick, in Olathe, KS before moving to Cameron, MO and Waxahatchie, TX where they welcomed eight grandchildren and five (soon to be seven) great grandchildren.
Genie had a long career in Treasury Management with US Bank, and she loved to quilt and made numerous quilts. She was a member of St. Munchin Catholic Church and an active volunteer with the Altar Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Christopher. She is survived by her husband, sons, daughters in law Masami and Cassie, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, her sisters Leiola and Annie, and her brother Michael.
Genie was a devout Catholic and a member of Catholic churches throughout her life. Memorial Mass will be held at St. Munchin Catholic Church, 301 N Cedar Street, Cameron, MO 64429 on June 4, 2026 at 10:30am.
Burial in St. Munchin Catholic Cemetery.
