Clay Morgan Grooms
Clay Morgan Grooms passed away July 24, 2025 in Opp, Alabama. Clay was born in Cameron, Mo on November 21, 1969. He was born in Cameron, Missouri, to Michael and Michaele Grooms and graduated from Cameron High School in 1988. He served 25 years in the Army retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer 4. During his time in the service he deployed on several occasions to both Iraq and Afghanistan as a Black Hawk pilot. He earned two Bronze Stars, two Meritorious Service Medals and five Air Medals. He is survived by his wife, Menda; son, Morgan, both of Opp, Alabama; father, Michael, Kidder, MO mother, Michaele Davis (Don), Walnut Grove, MO; brother, Shane Grooms (Len), Nixa, MO; brother, Brandon Davis (Alissa), Rogersville, MO; Grandmother, Shyrlee Davis, Independence, MO and numerous aunts, uncles nieces and nephews.
