Cameron Girls Golf

The girls played their final match of the season on Tuesday, October 6th at Lawson.  We went up against Lawson and Hamilton and it served as a good tune up for districts.  Haylee Webb shot a 45 to finish 2nd and Isabel finished right behind her with a 46.

The girls were able to use that 9 hole match as a positive for districts since it was at the same course we played districts on.  The Class 2, District 4 tournament was Thursday, October 15th at Lawson.  The girls had a plan going in and were able to play well enough to earn all-district honors and advance to the state tournament.  Both Haylee and Isabel got off to solid starts and gave themselves a lot of confidence early on.  They both had a couple rough moments but were able to bounce back and stay on track.  Their goal coming in was to shoot 90, feeling confident that it would be good enough and it was.  Haylee went 46-44 and Isabel went 44-46 to both shoot 90, finish in a 3 way tie for 12th place, and earn a trip to state.
