USDA issues second disaster payment, extends deadline

(Higginsville, Mo., April 24, 2026) — The U.S. Department of Agriculture will issue a second Supplemental Disaster Relief Program payment to eligible producers with approved applications for 2023 and 2024 natural disaster losses.

USDA’s Farm Service Agency has already provided $6.7 billion in SDRP payments. The agency also extended the application deadline for SDRP Stage 1 and Stage 2 from April 30 to Aug. 12, 2026.
