If you were to be stopped on the street for a quick survey and the question was, when does frog season open in Missouri? Would you know the answer? The likelihood of that happening is probably zero but on the off chance that you get tapped, the answer is June 30th. Coming right up. You are probably in the majority if you were thinking something like “I didn’t know there was a season on frogs.”
Bullfrogs (and green frogs) have an annual season that sets limits on when and how many frogs you can catch. The harvesting of frogs is regulated because it takes two to three years for a bull frog to reach maturity. Their life span is about 7 years. Starting at sunset on June 30th, you can take 8 Bullfrogs and Green frogs combined. Only the daily limit of 8 may be possessed on the water of banks where you are hunting or catching the frogs.
