EFFERSON CITY — A recent update to Missouri’s victim notification system could affect residents in the Cameron area who rely on alerts involving offenders housed in local jails or detention centers.

The Missouri Department of Public Safety announced that users of the Missouri Automated Victim Notification System (MOVANS) must now create a new registration if they want to continue receiving notifications tied to local jail or detention center offenders.
