Small business optimism remained below average in April, according to a new survey from the National Federation of Independent Business.
The NFIB Small Business Optimism Index rose slightly to 95.9, but remained below its 52-year average of 98 for the second straight month. The survey also found business owners continue to face pressure from inflation, labor shortages and weaker sales.
