Meet Officer Zachary Valdez: Returning to the Community That Helped Shape Him

For Officer Zachary Valdez, joining the Cameron Police Department is more than just a career move, it's a homecoming to a community that helped shape some of his earliest memories.

Valdez path into law enforcement began long before he ever put on a badge. Inspired by his grandfather, a Kansas City Police Department officer who served for 30 years before retiring as a sergeant, Valdez grew up hearing stories about the profession and the people his grandfather served.
