I-35 Speedway Racing Update

Posted 4/21/26

A Sunday afternoon special at I-35 Speedway completes our third event of the racing season. Due to the amount of rain over the past few weekends, I-35 and other facilities in the surrounding area haven’t been able to run their scheduled weekend events. After having to cancel racing for the third Saturday in a row, we couldn’t take another weekend off from dirt track racing and the decision was made to race on Sunday. Generational Buildings night at the races brought out 92 total cars to I-35 Speedway. We also honored one of our longtime super race fan Darla Dixon before tonight’s racing action, as well as throughout the night with air horns honking in the grandstands.

For on track action, the E-Mods rolled out first for feature action. Chris Dishong was able to collect the feature win, making him the first E-Mod driver with multiple wins in the 2026 season. Blake Hayes started on the pole and would finish in 2nd, Garrett Stonum in 3rd, Caleb Dennis 4th and Cameron Seager rounded out the top 5.
