Follow-up: Vendor says one person could trigger positive wastewater result; University of Missouri handles lab analysis

CAMERON — New details provided after the Cameron R-I wastewater story went to press shed additional light on how Missouri’s school wastewater testing program operates and what its results can — and cannot — show.

In a response to the Citizen Observer, Mighty Good Solutions said Stercus Bioanalytics is the company providing wastewater testing services, and that the work had previously been offered under Mighty Good Solutions before a company reorganization in early 2025. The company said Stercus Bioanalytics and Mighty Good Solutions share common ownership.
