The Cameron R-I School District is moving forward with its high school construction project after the Board of Education voted Tuesday night to award the project bid to Lawhon Construction Company, of St. Joseph.
The bid award came during the May 19 Board of Education meeting, where the high school project and bid tabulation appeared under items for consideration. Superintendent Dr. Matt Robinson said the project has been in the works for more than a year, following voter approval of the district’s bond issue.
