Public reaction was largely negative Monday night as the Cameron Planning and Zoning Commission considered a rezoning proposal that could open part of Third Street to container-style commercial buildings.
The commission met April 13 at the Cameron Public Safety Training Room and held two public hearings, according to the posted agenda. The first addressed updates to city zoning language defining flag lots and frontage lots. The second focused on rezoning Third Street from Walnut Street to North Cherry Street to C-1A Downtown Commercial District.
