A two-vehicle crash involving a passenger car and a semi-truck occurred at the intersection of Panther Road and Old Highway 36, about one mile west of Breckenridge in Caldwell County on Tuesday, July 30, 2026 at 10:58 a.m..
According to the report, a 21-year-old Breckenridge man was driving a Nissan southbound on Panther Road when he failed to stop at a stop sign and entered the path of a westbound Freightliner semi driven by a 64-year-old Breckenridge man. The front of the semi struck the passenger side of the Nissan.
