Maysville, MO……Loretta "Lori" M. (Horn) Bray, age 79, of Maysville, Mo. passed away on Oct. 12, 2018 at her home. Funeral service will be held at Turner Family Funeral Home in Maysville, on Sat. Oct. 20 at 1 p.m., with Pastor Mike Wolf of Hopewell Baptist Church officiating. Inurnment will follow at Wamsley Cemetery, in rural Cameron.

 

Visitation will be held at Turner Family Funeral Home in Maysville on Fri. Oct. 19, where family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Turner Family Funeral Home of Maysville, Mo.

Loretta was born in Brush, Colorado to Albert and Ethel (Lawrence) Horn on Feb 8, 1939.

 

She graduated High school and went on to higher education, earning an Associate's degree , working as a secretary for the Burlington Northern Railroad and later as an inventory specialist at the Cameron Hospital .

On April 11, 1964, Loretta and Loyd Bray were united in Holy Matrimony in Lincoln, NE. Loretta was a faithful Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, & great-grandmother. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School, Children's Church, and being a Youth for Christ leader.

 

Loretta also coached T-Ball and softball, and was church pianist at First Baptist Church in Cameron and Maysville.

 

She loved flower gardening and her hummingbirds, and for over a decade she raised Australian Shepard puppies. Loretta will most be remembered for her love and devotion to her family, reading her Bible, and as a prayer warrior. Summing up his beloved wife of 54 years in one phrase, Loyd said : "She cared for others, more than herself.”

 

Loretta is survived by her husband Loyd, of the home, daughters, Terri (Tim) Jermain, Conception Junction, Diana (Kirk) DeHart , Maysville, a sister, Alberta White , Russell Springs, Ky., grandchildren: Zach, Ben, Nate, and Matt Jermain; Kyle (Tess) DeHart, and Derek DeHart, great grandson: Jay Randall DeHart, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, and an infant daughter Sarah Grace Bray.
